Safety is of the utmost importance to the Triton Group
and we are committed to preserving the environment and the health and
safety of all employees. It is the policy of the Triton Management team
to ensure that all employees are provided with safe and healthy working
conditions, free from recognized hazards. All Triton employees and subcontractors
are required to comply with established policies and procedures which
have been developed to meet or exceed the legislative requirements of
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
The Triton group has achieved an excellent safety record, which is the
direct result of our corporate goal of having every worksite “accident
and injury free”. Safety is built into everything we do.
Our Safety Culture is based on two fundamental principles:
"Safety is Line Management Driven.”
Safety responsibilities and
expectations for all levels of line management are clearly identified
and communicated. Safety training is provided to enable supervisors to
fulfill their obligations.
“What Gets Measured, Gets Done.”
Safety performance is measured
through analysis of safety statistics and evaluation of safety activities.
These results are closely monitored and reviewed monthly by senior management.
Triton’s goal is to protect all workers, property and public from
accidents and injury. To that end, Triton has implemented a safety training
program to enhance the knowledge and awareness of our employees.
The knowledge, skills and competency of our employees are continuously
enhanced through solid, practical training programs such as:
• St. John’s Standard First Aid
• H2S Alive
• WHMIS
• Defensive Driving
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods
• Confined Space Entry
• Leadership for Safety Excellence
• Fall Arrest Training
• Hazard Identification
• Drug and Alcohol
• Incident Reporting and Investigation
• Environmental Awareness
• Ground Disturbance
• Gas Detection
• Rigging and Hoisting
• Fall Protection
